Residential & Commercial Development
Our largest sector and one that is continuing to grow as developers recognise the value added by Ethos’ approach to ensuring clients’ commercial objectives are met whilst delivering benefits to the environment. Our clients include major PLC developers and commercial operators as well as local builders and individual householders. We also work extensively with planning consultants and architects, often forming part of their team to provide ecological advice for projects they are leading.
Our project portfolio reflects this broad client base and ranges from bat surveys for a loft extension to full environmental impacts assessments for major residential developments (3000 homes).

Public Sector
The team at Ethos have worked on over 100 local authority, school, university and NHS projects. The services we have provided include ecological survey, green space strategies, sport and leisure strategies, rights of way surveys and appearing as an expert witness at planning appeals. We have built up a strong reputation in this sector and have a high success rate in winning tenders, delivering quality services and repeat commissions.

Oil, Gas & Renewables
Our team includes a specialist advisor to the oil and gas industry and this is a sector where we are continuing to grow and develop. With considerable experience in ecological surveys and EIA for wind farms, oil and gas pipelines, we are now moving forward in providing advice to the key players developing fracking in the UK, a sector we expect to grow and be a major focus for Ethos in the future.
